Primero en la iglesia St. Rose en Santa Rosa para un festival por Dia de los Ninos a las 1:30.

Segundo en el Roseland Elementary para un gran celebration por Dia de la Tierra a las 3:30.

Vamos a leer poemas de Lorca, para ninos, y para todo.

Today the puppets will be outside...

First at St. Rose church in Santa Rosa for a Children's Day festival around 1:30.

Second at Roseland Elementary for a big celebration for Earthday around 3:30.

We are going to read poems by Lorca, for children, and for everyone.

The Puppet Suitcase Gets ACtion

Actually, Work Happening Downstairs

I find myself working downstairs. Moving around the chopping block table and pushing the bench / chest to the side for puppet making. I quite like having a fluid space downstairs that can transform to fit my needs. My art making materials are still up in the loft. But I now plan on having that be a second bed region, and keeping my art stuff in the 3' storage area under my bed, where I can easily pull it out, work and make a mess, and then retract everything into order. It's so nice to have a second bed ready for friends and passersby. The luxury of a guest bed, even in a 6' 10" wide by 16' long trailer.

Our communities suffer. Job losses continue. Pollution spews unchecked. The Art is Medicine Show is born from the idea that in times of crisis we must break old patterns, seek visionary solutions, and connect to our local communities. In the spirit of the Federal Theatre Project of the 1930’s we want to make theatre that is vital to community life. The mainstream arts culture in general, and in Sonoma County in particular, often overlooks Latino and Immigrant communities. Performances that invite these communities and celebrate the diversity in our county are essential. Our vision: a bilingual bicycle touring show.

El espectáculo Arte es Medicina nace de la idea que en tiempos de crisis debemos romper nuestros viejos patrones, buscar soluciones visionarias, y conectar con nuestras comunidades locales. En el espíritu del Proyecto de Teatro Federal de los 1930s queremos hacer teatro que es vital a la vida de nuestra comunidad. Las artes culturas de corriente popular en general, y en particular en el condado de Sonoma, muchas veces ignoran las comunidades de Latinos e inmigrantes. Presentaciones que inviten a estas comunidades y celebren la diversidad en nuestro país son esenciales. Nuestra Visión: un espectáculo bilingüe de Tour en bicicleta.
